This past weekend was a smashing success for both the St. Mary and Carlton boys’ volleyball teams.

Carton Comprehensive High School hosted the 5A regional boys’ and girls’ volleyball championships.

St. Mary finished second after losing to Lloydminster in the final.

The Crusaders faced Warman for third and won 2-0.

A third place game was required as St. Mary is the host for the boy’s provincial competition this upcoming weekend.

On the girls’ side, Carlton played Warman for third and lost 2-0.

St. Mary lost out to Warman in the opening playoff round.

While the boys’ teams will battle at St. Mary, the girls’ teams will compete in Lloydminster.

Also this weekend is the 1A-4A girls’ provincial competition and the 1A to 4A boys’ regional competitions.
