Public tip helps RCMP stop North Battleford break-in
A man is facing charges after a Battlefords RCMP officer on night patrol was alerted to a break-in in progress early Thursday.
The officer was driving a marked police vehicle around 1:30 a.m. on Nov 13. when a member of the public flagged them down to report the crime underway at a business on 101 Street.
The officer went to the scene and saw a man in a ski mask attempting to break into the building with a crowbar.
The suspect ran when he saw the patrol vehicle, but RCMP said he was arrested moments later thanks to a no-through road in the area.
