Search underway for suspects after gun fired toward cyclist in Meadow Lake

Nov 19, 2025 | 2:35 PM

Meadow Lake RCMP are looking for two suspects after a firearm was discharged toward a man riding a bicycle early Wednesday morning.

Police say officers were called around 1 a.m. on Nov. 19 after a report that a gun had been fired near the intersection of Second Street West and Third Avenue West.

Investigators determined a man on a bike was riding through the area when another man, who was walking with a woman, fired a gun in his direction. The cyclist was not hurt.

The man and woman fled on foot toward Second Street West. Officers searched the neighbourhood but were unable to find either suspect. The man was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, while the woman was described as wearing a black coat.

So far, RCMP have not confirmed wether the incident is targeted or random and say the investigation is ongoing.

Now, officers are asking anyone with information or who saw suspicious activity in the area early Wednesday to contact them by calling 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
