Thousands of Prince Albert residents lined Central Ave. in downtown on Saturday morning for the highly anticipated arrival of Santa Claus.

While the parade’s 50 entries marched to the Gateway Mall, Christmas carolers sang on the steps of the Margo Fournier Arts Centre and at the corner of 12th Street and Central Avenue, while hot chocolate was handed out by volunteers at stations along the route.

Following the parade, those who braved the cold were invited inside the Gateway Mall for some free festive activities, as well as an opportunity to take a trip to Whoville in the Prince Albert Optimist Club’s Winter Wonderland.
