Canary seed growers will meet to discuss market potential and agronomy
The Canary Seed Development Commission of Saskatchewan (CSDCS) will host its annual meeting and information session in Regina, Sask. on Dec. 11.
Following a short business meeting, there will be a presentation from Adam Carter at the Crop Development Centre. He will provide an update on canary seed breeding research.
A review of suitable fungicides for canary seed and plant growth regulators research trials will be discussed by Bill May with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Chuck Penner with LeftField Commodity Research will provide a market update.
Following the meeting and presentations, attendees will be treated to lunch featuring a variety of dishes made with canary seed.
