Firefighter sustains minor injury during structure fire

North Battleford Fire Department (NBFD) is investigating the cause of a total loss structure fire.
The fire was reported on Dec. 2 at 951-110th Street. Firefighters responded to the call at 8:33 p.m. and noted the structure was fully engulfed upon their arrival.
The building was unoccupied at the time, and there were no reported injuries to residents or civilians. However, a responding firefighter sustained a minor injury and received treatment on the scene from WPD Ambulance personnel.
Battlefords RCMP members assisted with traffic control as streets near the blaze were closed for several hours, prompting the city to issue a Voyent Alert. NBFD units remained at the scene until 3:38 a.m. on Dec. 3.
