Riders should check transit app for route changes, says city

Two days of snow are affecting the ability of City of Prince Albert transit to stay on schedule so the city is reminding riders they can check online for updates.

“Colder temperatures and snowfall have impacted transit operations, resulting in some routes being taken offline or temporarily moved to hourly service. Prince Albert Transit is actively working to maintain coverage across the system, adjust routes where necessary, and share timely updates with the public,” said the city.

Temperatures are expected to drop again towards the end of the week and three days of snow are also coming.

The snow will vary but Tuesday’s forecast is predicting five to 10 cm along with a 15 km/h wind.

Riders can subscribe to Transit News to get notifications by email and can track their bus in real time on the Transit Live app.

On Monday, the Core Express bus did not run, the all day bus is running hourly and the rush hour bus is also running hourly.

The East Hill and West Flat buses are also temporarily running hourly.
