Man charged with murder after incident on Little Pine First Nation

A man has been charged with murder and aggravated assault after a death on Little Pine First Nation.
Cut Knife RCMP received a report of injured individuals at a residential property on Dec. 8, at approximately 8:00 p.m. RCMP from Cut Knife and Unity responded immediately and administered first aid to two individuals.
EMS attended the scene and transported one adult to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. An adult male identified as 43-year-old Tyrone Kakum was declared deceased by EMS at the residence.
RCMP officers arrested 24-year-old Keenan Starr at the scene. He is now facing two charges; one count, second degree murder and one count, aggravated assault.
