Man on warrant arrested after crashing into a fence

A man who was tracked and arrested after a vehicle crashed into a fence was found to have an outstanding warrant.

That’s according to Prince Albert RCMP in relation to an incident that occurred early Wednesday morning.

Officers attempted a traffic stop on a truck near a business on Sturgeon Lake First Nation. The vehicle did not stop, fleeing into a ditch and colliding with a fence.

The driver of the vehicle fled.

RCMP Police Dog Services were engaged to assist and tracked the suspect to a residence on Sturgeon Lake First Nation, where he was arrested on his outstanding warrant.

Jack Sanderson, 34, has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, resisting arrest, operating a conveyance while prohibited, and mischief under $5,000.
