28th Street cleared of emergency vehicles

UPDATE: As of 1:30 pm, police and ambulance had left the scene and traffic was able to drive 28th Street in both directions.

Prince Albert Police said that, while not confirmed, a man was reported to be injured in that area just before 10 am.

Officers responded to a weapons call in the 100 block of 28th Street East and found a 32 year old man with injuries from a altercation.

The man needed medical attention and there is an active police investigation. No arrests have been made yet.

Police and ambulance are on scene in Prince Albert Carlton Park area near Harold’s IGA.

Drivers cannot use 28th Street between Central and Second Avenues East and will need to detour.

No traffic was being allowed through in either direction on Wednesday morning.
