Thunder, Wolfpack in action tonight

Local hockey is back after the Christmas break.

In the Prairie Junior Hockey League (PJHL), the Carrot River Outback Thunder have a pair of home games this weekend.

They host the Prince Albert Timberjaks Friday night at 7:30, and Martensville Sunday afternoon at 2:30.

The Thunder enter 2026 with a 10-14-0-1 record.

The North East U18 AA Wolfpack hosts Warman Friday night at the RECplex in Tisdale.

The Wolfpack also host the North West Stars Saturday afternoon at 1:15 at the Northern Lights Palace in Melfort.

North East looks to turn things around this year, after going 5-12-1-0 in the 2025 portion of their schedule.

The Tisdale Trojans return to action Jan. 7.
