Battleford council appoints Landon Chambers as CAO for three-year term

The hunt for a town Chief Administrative Officer has come to an end in Battleford, following the announcement of Landon Chambers’ extended employment.
Last month, Chambers joined the town council on an interim basis as CAO. This came after the former CAO’s immediate exit the month prior. Council has now come to an agreement to extend his employment for the next three years, effective Jan. 19.
Mayor Ames Leslie said over the past few weeks he has observed the CAO’s hometown pride.
“He very much wants to work to grow the town of Battleford in a positive and in a small-town way that can be prosperous but still be respectful to the taxpayers,” he said.
