A student with Prince Albert Catholic Schools is back at home after being involved in a “school bus incident”.

According to a release from the school division, a bus transporting students to Ecole St. Anne School was involved in an “incident” in the 800 block of 28th Street West on Wednesday morning, leaving one student with minor injuries.

The release did not specify the exact incident, nor the age of the student.

“In an abundance of care, the student was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further assessment. All parents/guardians of students that were on the bus have been contacted,” read the release.

They added that the student was said to be doing well and is resting at home. A counsellor from Catholic Family Services has also been set up at the school for emotional support for students who may need it.

The school division said that the incident will not affect the other buses in the city, as school bus transportation is continuing as planned for the remainder of the day.

No further information was released.
