Jan 31, 2026 | 7:00 PM

The Melfort Mustangs continued to struggle at the Cage on Friday night.

Melfort dropped their third straight visit to Nipawin, falling 4-0 to the Hawks.

In three trips to Centennial Arena this season, the Mustangs are now 0 and 3, and have been outscored 12-0.

On Friday, the Stangs put up 25 shots on Nipawin’s backup netminder Colten Scott, as he picked up his second shutout of the season.

In the previous two matchups, the Blue and Green peppered Hawks’ starting goaltender Gage Roberts with a combined 71 shots, with Roberts picking up two shutouts, his only pair of the year.

Melfort will next play on Tuesday against the La Ronge Ice Wolves.
