Power outages, storm damage stretch across northern Saskatchewan
A series of wild summer storms left devastation in their paths from the far west side of the province near Onion Lake, to the northeast by Kinistino and Carrot River.
By Sunday morning, power had been restored to a majority of customers in north central Saskatchewan including Prince Albert, La Ronge, Candle Lake and surrounding rural areas, but Tisdale, Nipawin, and the Carrot River area remained without power. SaskPower said crews were working to restore services, but did not provide an estimate for the repair time.

Near Arborfield, Zina Riou was in her camper during the storm. There isn’t much left of it and what is left is a mangled mess. She broke her foot trying to get out during the storm, but said the situation could have ended up much worse.
