Pedestrian struck in Prince Albert dies from injuries; police seek information on suspect vehicle

A man injured in a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision in Prince Albert late Friday night has died.

Prince Albert Police said 58-year-old Kenneth Michel passed away in hospital during the early morning hours of July 19 as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.

The Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate the incident.

Police said the suspect vehicle involved in the collision, which fled the scene, has since been located and seized.

Investigators are now asking the public for help tracing the movements of the vehicle prior to the collision. Police are looking for anyone who may have seen a red 2005 Acura four-door sedan with tinted rear windows between 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on July 17.
