The Kindersley Klippers scored three goals in the third period to complete a comeback and earn their third straight home win in a 4-2 victory over the Warman Wolverines on Friday night in Kindersley.

The opening frame saw nothing on the scoresheet for either side with the shots at 13-10 in favour of the visiting side.

Ashton Lee started the scoring in the second period with his second goal as a member of the Wolverines.

Kindersley would answer back with a goal by Charlie Kay only for Sawyer Scheidt to give Warman the lead back with a shorthanded goal to make it 2-1 after two periods.

The Klippers then took off in the third. Pryce Thiessen tied the game on the power play then Konnor Watson gave them their first lead of the game at 3-2.

Warman pulled goaltender Luke Brunen for an extra man push in the dying seconds of regulation but Watson completed a two-goal game with an empty netter to seal it for Kindersley.

The Wolverines have now dropped three of their last four games and have lost two in a row on the road. Friday’s loss also snapped their seven-game point streak, with their last two defeats coming via shootout.

Warman begins a four-game homestand with a Saturday night showdown against the Nipawin Hawks with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Warman Home Centre Communiplex.
