En Fuego and Bananas score medals at provincials

The U16 to U18 Sask. Volleyball provincials were held in Saskatoon over the weekend and Prince Albert teams were able to collect some hardware.

The U17 En Fuego squad finished first, narrowly defeating the Wadena Thunder in the final, 25–23, 23–25, and 17–15.

During round robin play, En Fuego won three games and lost once.

The U18 En Fuego squad finished seventh in their respective tournament.

On the men’s side, the U16 Smashing Bananas finished second. They faced Central Valley in the final.

The U18 Bananas finished seventh, and the U17 squad was ninth.

Prince Albert teams are now getting ready for nationals, starting with the U14 tournament this upcoming weekend. The En Fuego squad plays in Richmond. B.C.
