May 16, 2022 | 8:00 AM

City council will look at awarding a contract for a detailed design of a new terminal building for the airport at Monday’s meeting.

The cost of the design is estimated to be over $600,000.

Also on the agenda on Monday is a development permit application for a new daycare.

If approved, the centre could accommodate up to 20 children between the ages of 18 months and 12 years old in its location on 12th Street West.

Another item on the agenda is a bylaw that will see the land on the proposed ‘The Yard District’ receive its third reading.

Once passed, the land will change zoning to Highway Commercial and Park usage.

The Yard District is the name of the commercial development along Marquis Road where the new arenas and swimming pool will be located.

The next regular meeting of council is on Monday at 5:00 pm.
