Evelyn McKenzie is planning to share the $100,000 she won on the Lotto 6/49 with her two sons.

McKenzie bought the ticket from the Northern Store n Cumberland House on the day of the draw, August 31, and matched the last six digits of the EXTRA number.

A few days later, she decided to go online and check the ticket and got a bit of a shock.

“I started checking, and I saw that I had all but the one EXTRA number,” she said. “I just thought, ‘Oh my God!'”

A few days later, McKenzie told her sons she had something important to tell them. At first, they thought something bad happened but instead got a good surprise.

“When we got together and I shared the news, they were very excited for me!” she laughed.

A week after the draw, McKenzie scanned her winning ticket on the app just to double-check her win before claiming her prize at the prize office.
