Prince Albert women shortlisted for Provincial Arts awards

Two women, who are well-known within Prince Albert’s arts community, have received provincial recognition.

Leah Dorion and Roxanne Dicke have been selected as short-listed nominees for the 2022 Saskatchewan Arts Awards.

Dorion, a Métis Artist in Prince Albert was nominated in the Artistic Excellence category sponsored by the Ministry of Parks, Culture, and Sport.

Dicke, Director of the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts was nominated in the Leadership- Individual category, presented in partnership with Jarislowsky Fraser Partners Foundation.

Having Leah Dorion and Roxanne Dicke recognized and celebrated through this short list of only 18 nominees (3 per category) speaks to their creative, important, and inspirational work for the arts in our community and province. The Saskatchewan Arts Awards ceremony will be held on Monday, Oct. 24, at the Frank & Ellen Remai Arts Centre in Saskatoon.
