Youth charged with assault after man seriously injured on Montreal Lake

An unnamed youth is being charged with aggravated assault.

RCMP were called to the Montreal Lake Cree Nation Monday night where they found a man suffering from serious injuries.

He was later transported to an area hospital. There’s still no update on his condition.

The youth was officially arrested by Montreal Lake RCMP a day later, on Tuesday.

Along with aggravated assault, he’s also been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unlawfully causing bodily harm.
