Construction on the Rotary Adventure Park in Little Red River Park continues but the City of Prince Albert said that isn’t stopping some people from trying to get in.

They said, this past weekend, there were two incidents where several kids entered the fenced area and had to be removed by the Community Policing Unit.

“Our Rotary Adventure Park Playground and Zip Lines at Little Red are still under construction,” said Parks and Open Space Manager Tim Yeaman. “We understand the community’s excitement for this project and that it can be challenging for little ones to wait to try the equipment, so we are doing all we can to complete this project as soon as possible.”

Once construction is completed later in the summer, the city will plan a Grand Opening event.

Work on the major project began last spring and was supposed to be completed by the end of last summer.

The finished park will include zip lines, swings, and two additional play structures. There will also be added picnic sites, benches, and a shelter along with expanded walking trails to provide activities for toddlers, as well as adults and seniors.
