City council to hear about chickens and education taxes on Monday

May 1, 2023 | 8:00 AM

As the City of Prince Albert council meets this afternoon, one of the things they will be hearing about it chickens.

Lance and Jennifer McDougald have written a letter and will speak in person to council about the benefits of chickens is part of the agenda.

Another delegation will be heard from a resident of Birch Lane who would like to have an exemption allowing a shed in the front of his house.

Jared Devers said while he understands that in most areas a shed in front of a house can be an eyesore, in his case his house is 100 meters away from the grid road and he has five acres of land.

Council will also hear six reports ranging from parking in front the police substation, bot beautification, and a proposal to have a community meeting at the Ches Leach Lounge in June.

As it is an executive committee meeting, it will start at 4 pm at City Hall.
