A man and woman have been arrested and remain in custody on charges of robbery with a gun, wearing a disguise, theft of a gun, and forcible confinement.

On Wednesday, Melfort RCMP asked for public help identifying a man and woman after a robbery at home on Stovel Avenue early Tuesday morning.

After identifying the two suspects, officers tried to pull over a vehicle in Melfort at about 7:30 pm.

The vehicle did not stop, continued a short distance, and then stopped with both occupants getting out and running into a home on Main Street.

They were taken into custody shortly afterward.

Jeffrey Thomas, age 39 of Opaskwayak, Manitoba and 19-year-old Brandy Morissette of Paddockwood are both facing multiple gun charges along with the robbery, breaking and entering, and theft of the vehicle.

Thomas is also charged with two counts of misusing a credit card and will next be in Melfort Provincial Court on June 22 for a show cause hearing to see if he should be released.

Morrisette has her show cause hearing on June 26, also in Melfort Provincial Court.
