Hold and secure lifted after youth attends SMVS with weapon

A hold and secure at the Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Senator Myles Venne School has been lifted.
At 12:22 p.m. on Thursday, La Ronge RCMP received a call regarding a youth who attended the school with a weapon. The call resulted in a heavy police presence in the area during the noon hour.
The youth left the school before police arrived and no one was injured. Officers immediately attended to the area and took the youth into custody.
RCMP continues to investigate the incident.
