Three people are being charged after a large amount of cocaine was found in La Ronge.

On Sept. 20, RCMP received a complaint about an individual in the community caring for small children at a residence while in possession of a firearm.

While responding, officers located and seized a large quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value of $19,000, drug paraphernalia, and a large sum of Canadian currency. No firearms were located.

As a result, RCMP have charged a 28-year-old man from Saskatoon, a 30-year-old man from Calgary, and a 30-year-old man from La Ronge with unlawfully possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and unlawfully possessing proceeds of crime.

The man from La Ronge was also charged with failing to comply with a recognizance, while the man from Calgary was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for a parole violation.

All three men were scheduled to appear in a La Ronge Provincial Court on Sept. 21.
