Community gets the chance to meet new faces of the Humboldt Broncos
Humboldt Broncos fans have a lot to be thankful for these first few weeks of hockey action.
Following a 7-1 win at the Elgar Petersen Arena on Thanksgiving Sunday, the ice surface was covered in green and gold as fans had an early chance to skate with the Broncos.
While traditionally held in February for Family Day weekend, head coach Scott Barney told northeastNOW this was a chance for fans to meet the new players up close since they are the team with the least amount of returning players.
“It’s important for the kids and the fans and the community. Everybody gives back to us and it’s good to get our faces out there and it was good this year we can get it done earlier.”
