Last chance to vote for Members’ Choice Award at BBEX ceremony
The Battlefords Chamber of Commerce has released the ballots for its Members’ Choice Award at the 29th annual Battlefords Business Excellence (BBEX) Awards Gala on Nov. 8 at the Dekker Centre.
Last year when the award was first introduced the chamber didn’t receive a big uptick of nominations so, it is hoping for a better response this year by leaving a smaller window of time for chamber-member businesses to submit their ballots in the voting process.
“We did [send out the ballots] earlier last year, but what we found is that if they didn’t respond to it in the first few days, then they didn’t [respond],” Linda Machniak, chief operating officer with the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce, said. “I know exactly the feeling. If you get lots of emails and you get busy, or you forget about it, you don’t get back to them. So, the idea this year was we wanted to provide just [one] week, to put some more urgency to it, for the members to make their votes count and get them done.”
For this award, Chamber members have an opportunity to vote for their peers.
