Raiders embark on Alberta swing with stop in Edmonton
The Prince Albert Raiders (19-20-0-3) are kicking off their second three-in-three in as many weekends on Friday night, this time in Alberta with their first opponent being the Edmonton Oil Kings (14-24-1-1).
The Raiders are hoping for a better result compared to the three-in-three last weekend which ended with one win and two losses. P.A. downed Victoria 4-3 in overtime before falling in back-to-back games, 4-3 in Regina on Saturday and 6-4 in Brandon on Sunday.
Edmonton also enters tonight on a two-game skid with their losses coming at the hands of Red Deer and Spokane. Additionally, the Oil Kings are 1-4 in their last five while Prince Albert is 2-3 with the other win coming against Saskatoon in a shootout back on Jan. 6.
The Raiders have matched up with Edmonton twice before this season with each team winning once. Both of the previous contests were back in October and saw the away team win both games.
