Bombers explode for eight in win over Hawks
The Nipawin Hawks have struggled with the Bombers the last couple years and Friday was no different as the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) club was blanked 8-0 in Flin Flon.
The loss extends Nipawin’s losing streak to six games with the setback being the Hawks’s 10th straight defeat against the Bombers.
Optimistic going into the game, the Hawks weren’t ready from the opening faceoff as the Bombers scored four goals in the first 8:38 of the game and cruised to the win. Head Coach Tad Kozun was at a loss for words on the postgame show on 750 Beach Radio.
“I really don’t know what to say, we better be ready to go tomorrow, there is only one way to go but up,” he lamented.
