December trial set for accused killer in Margo homicide

Feb 21, 2024 | 4:56 PM

The man who is accused of killing Sharon Littlewolfe and injuring her daughter and infant grandson will be tried by judge alone in Yorkton.

Brian McLeod, age 58, of Battleford is alleged to have murdered 51-year-old Littlewolfe, his common-law partner of less than a month on Christmas Eve in 2022.

He is also charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault for an alleged attack on Littlewolfe’s adult daughter who faked her own death in order to survive. Her infant son was four months old at the time and was also injured in the attack.

The attack happened in a duplex in Margo, a tiny community of 90 people located southeast of Wynyard and two hours from Melfort.

Littlewolfe had just purchased the duplex several weeks before her death and her daughter and grandson moved into the second half.

McLeod will be tried in Court of King’s Bench but has opted to not have a jury.

The trial has been scheduled to run the week of Dec. 9.
