A man from Meadow Lake and a woman from Alberta appeared in court on Monday after they were arrested with a variety of drugs in their possession.

Last Saturday, RCMP said they stopped a vehicle on Highway 4 in the area.

Police say officers questioned the driver, who provided a false name. Officers later found out the driver was wanted by Meadow Lake RCMP for driving with a suspended license and failing to appear in court.

Police later discovered and seized 280 grams of cocaine, 174 grams of crystal meth, a gram of fentanyl, a knife, ammunition, trafficking paraphernalia, and cash from inside the vehicle.

Officers eventually arrested the man who was driving the vehicle and a woman who was a passenger.

Christopher Blyan of Meadow Lake and Skye Campbell of Cold Lake, Alta. have been charged with possession for trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Blyan also faces additional charges of resisting and obstructing an officer and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
