Man accused of murdering long-term partner makes court appearance

The man charged with killing his long-term partner will return to court later this month.

Cody Chubey, 35, briefly appeared in Melfort Provincial Court via video Thursday, April 4.

Defence counsel is still awaiting disclosure from the Crown, and the matter has been adjourned to April 22 via video.

Chubey is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Danielle Dobersheck in Melfort in March.

Dobersheck worked for the North East Outreach and Support Services (NEOSS) Treehouse, and staff, family and friends held a balloon-raising ceremony in her memory shortly after her death.
