Victim in hospital following armed robbery in West Flat

A 34-year-old man is in custody after a serious assault and robbery on 13th St. and 1st Ave. W yesterday morning.

Prince Albert Police said just before 9:00 a.m., they were called to an assault in progress and found the victim who had been injured and had his property taken.

Parkland Ambulance took the man to hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Police found the suspect about five minutes later in the unit block of River St. W.

The 34-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault, robbery and breach of probation and was expected to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Tuesday, July 16.
