Police investigating early morning assault, robbery in La Ronge

La Ronge RCMP are investigating a robbery which occurred during the early morning hours last Saturday.

According to media release issued Wednesday, at approximately 1:45 a.m., police received a report of a robbery along Studer Street.

An Investigation determined two people were walking when they were approached by three suspects. The suspects assaulted the victims, then robbed them of a cellphone and other personal items.

The suspects then fled on foot and the victims were treated at the hospital for injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.

La Ronge RCMP continue to investigate. The suspects are described as males between the ages of 19 and 25 with dark hair.

One was wearing black shorts and no shirt, one was wearing a black T-shirt and shorts, and the other was wearing jeans and a white T-shirt.
