Nominations open for Tri-Community Awards Gala

Nominations are now open for the La Ronge and District Chamber of Commerce’s annual Tri-Community Awards Gala.

The event is expected to occur Oct. 26 at the Jonas Roberts Memorial Community Centre. The gala is meant to recognize and celebrate local businesses, non-profits and citizens.

Nominations have opened for Citizen of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Business of the Year (one to five employees), Business of the Year (six or more employees), Employee of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Hugh Watt Legacy Award (a business person who shows commitment and dedication to community that goes above and beyond).

Last year’s winners were Hannah Bathgate for Citizen of the Year, Karli Carr for Entrepreneur of the Year, Nikik Digital Solutions for Business of the Year (one to five employees), RONA for Business of the Year (six or more employees), CAMP Sask Arts for Non-Profit of the Year, La Ronge EMS for Employer of the Year, Jyl DeBruyne for Employee of the Year, and Gary and Carleen Grant for the Hugh Watt Legacy Award.
