Greg Lightfoot seeks fourth term on city council with focus on fiscal responsibility

A long-serving former city councillor from North Battleford, Greg Lightfoot, is seeking his fourth term on Nov. 13 with a commitment to financial accountability, keeping taxes low, and driving continued growth.

“Maintaining a balance between growth and infrastructure replacement and continuing to work with all levels of government to make our city a safe and beautiful place to call home,” Lightfoot stated on his profile.

Alongside his experience in municipal politics, he has been a senior wealth advisor and owner of Hein Financial Group in North Battleford for over 25 years. Drawing from his extensive background, he also believes he can continue to offer his knowledge and insights to help the city thrive as a promising place to live, work, and play.

For over 37 years, he and his wife have called the Battlefords home, where they raised their family of four. Their children are also part of the community, raising their families here.

“Brenda and I have lived in the Battlefords for more than 37 years, raising both our daughter and son here. We absolutely love this community and will retire here,” he said.

Municipal election day is Nov. 13. Other confirmed candidates include Alvin Baptiste, Rodney Fedler, Ross MacAngus , Donald Meriam, Mercy George, Kent Lindgren, Dennis Mercer, Bill (Thomas) Ironstand, Alan Wiese, Dan Suberlak, Darryl Williams and Warren Williams.
