Cab driver stabbed in robbery near Carlton Park

A 47-year-old taxi driver was taken to hospital Friday morning with stab wounds after two men robbed him.

Prince Albert Police were called at 6:20 am to the 1200 Block of 28th Street East to the reported stabbing and found the injured cab driver.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers learned that two men had gotten into the cab and demanded money before the victim was stabbed.

One suspect then fled eastwards on foot while the other fled westbound in a different vehicle.
