Discounted cab rides hope to reduce impaired driving in Prince Albert

Using a QR code and a coupon, the Prince Albert & Area Community Alcohol Strategy Steering Committee is hoping to give more option for people to not drink and drive.

The committee has partnered with SGI, Grey Cab and Checker/Family Taxi to offer $15 coupons for people who are out and have consumed too many drinks.

Coupons have been distributed to local licensed establishments and taxi companies also have them available.

Coupons are eligible between 6 pm and 6 am and expire on January 31, 2025.

Window clings have been posted a local liquor stores and licensed establishments that take you to a website for the terms of used.

People wanting to use the coupon should let the cab driver know when they book the ride.
