New Year’s babies welcomed in Melfort, Humboldt

Both Melfort and Humboldt have their New Year’s babies.

Melfort’s first-born child of 2025 is Nora Charlotte Rose Bernier.

She was born at 5:41 p.m. on New Year’s Day.

Nora weighed 7 lb 3 oz and measured 20 inches long.

Her proud parents are Ryland Bernier and Elizabeth Smyth.

In Humboldt, Kade Hoff was born at 2:04 a.m. Jan. 1 to become the city’s New Year’s Baby.

Parents Kurtis and Kesley, and an older brother, are happy to welcome Kade into the family.

Both families thank the nurses and doctors for delivering the baby safe and sound.
