Eggs in Saskatchewan named in error in recall notice
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency, which issued a recall due to a possible salmonella contamination of certain brands of eggs on Saturday, has now said it named Saskatchewan and Alberta in error in the recall.
The agency said in a correction notice that only British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and possibly other provinces were affected.
The agency says the recall covers Compliments, Foremost, Golden Valley Eggs, IGA, no name and Western Family eggs.
The expiry dates for recalled eggs are Feb. 16, Feb. 22 and March 1.
