Instrument fails at La Ronge Health Centre, lab services remains operational

A spokesperson for the Saskatchewan Health Authority told larongeNOW an instrument in the lab at the La Ronge Health Centre has failed.
While he wasn’t able to confirm how long the piece of biomedical equipment has been down, he noted it is awaiting repair and should be fixed sometime this week.
Lab services in La Ronge have not been disrupted with samples still being collected and processed at a lab in Prince Albert.
The spokesperson added there is no current issue with staffing at the lab that would lead to any disruptions.
