Trojans sweep Contacts at RECPlex

The Tisdale Trojans are red-hot after yet another weekend sweep.

The Trojans won both games against the Saskatoon Contacts at the RECPlex to push their winning streak to six games.

Tisdale started with a 6-3 comeback win on Saturday.

They opened the scoring with the lone goal in the first period by Blake Girard.

The Contacts responded by scoring three goals in the second period to take a 3-1 lead.

The Trojans stormed back to tie the game after two periods with goals from Carter Corbett and Carter Geysen.

Tisdale scored three times in the third period, with Preston Hoppe, Sean Shiels, and Eric Han all tickling the twine.

Jackson Dunn made 33 saves to earn the win.

On Sunday, the Trojans doubled up the Contacts 4-2.

Tristan Hanson and Eric Han scored in the first period as Tisdale took a 2-1 lead.

Carter Geysen scored to make it 3-1 in the second before Saskatoon rallied to make it 3-2.

Geysen scored his second of the game in the third into an empty net to round out the scoring.

Wyatt Fleischhacker stopped 26 shots in the win.

Tisdale remains tied for third in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League with a 21-7-6 record.

They are 19-2-1 since their 2-5-5 start.

The Trojans will visit Prince Albert Friday night, then will host the Mintos on Saturday before visiting Warman on Sunday.
