A 63-year-old Lloydminster man is facing multiple drug trafficking and weapons charges after police discovered a drug operation at a home near 47th Street.

Following a search warrant, the Lloydminster RCMP’s General Investigations Section seized “an array” of drugs, money and weaponry including roughly 500 grams of suspected cocaine, 500 grams of suspected fentanyl, roughly 1 kilogram of methamphetamine, over $16,000 of Canadian currency, unstamped tobacco cigarettes and a prohibited firearm.

“This seizure represents a substantial disruption to the illicit drug trade in our community, “ said Cpl. Christopher Byford via a press release.

“The presence of fentanyl in particular, poses a serious risk to public safety, and we remain committed to targeting those who traffic harmful substances.”

As a result, Mark Enzenauer has been charged with three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking (cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl), possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, unsafe storage of firearm, possession of cannabis, possession of tobacco not marked in the prescribed manner and unlawful possession of identity document.

On Friday, he appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court. His next appearance will be via video on Feb. 3 in Lloydminster.
