No mystery when it comes to the city’s Best of the Best

There was mystery and anonymity when it came to the attire, but celebrated notoriety when it came to the awards.

Pattison Media and paNOW celebrated the ‘Best of the Best’ (BOB) Awards Friday night at Plaza 88 with a Masquerade themed event that attracted a record number of people.

“We just wanted to switch up our annual celebration a bit and give people in Prince Albert a reason to get dressed up, have some fun by adding a touch of mystique to their outfits with a Masquerade costume and join us in recognizing the BOB award winners for 2025,” said paNOW sales manager Marlene Stene.

Since 2014, paNOW readers have been recognizing their favourite businesses, individuals, organizations, events, and more across 200 different categories by voting online.

Stene said the recognition from the award, which includes a certificate that winners often display, helps to elevate the public’s perception. Winners may also choose to be featured in an article that can be found in the BOB Awards section on paNOW’s website.

“If they’re purchasing profiles, it can really help to bolster their online presence and elevate Google rankings making them easier to find.”

Some of this year’s winners included Sweet Stells Cakes & More as best bakery, Lake Country Skin Care and Medi Spa for best pedicure or manicure, the Prince Albert Farmer’s Market as the best artisan fair, and Fresh Air Experience as the best sporting goods store.

“It’s such a great opportunity to just get out and celebrate with other businesses and people and be a part of something positive in P.A.,” said Stene. “The BOBs have quickly become one of Prince Albert’s premiere events.”

The event featured music from a live band called ‘The Flickers’ as well as DJ’d entertainment from Maxwell Music. Guests were treated to a buffet of savoury and sweet treats provided by Shenanigans, Venice House and the North Star Restaurant from the Northern Lights Casino.
