Prince Albert resident Linda Vandale has a big smile on her face – thanks to winning $100,000 on a scratch and win lottery ticket.

Vandale bought her ticket at the local Shell station and chose the 50X THE CASH ticket because the shiny paper caught her eye.

“The ticket just stood out to me,” she said while claiming her prize. Vandale said she scratched the ticket and showed her husband:

“He looked at it and said, ‘I think you won $10,000!’” she laughed. “I was like, ‘Get out of here!’”

After scanning the ticket on the app, they were even more shocked by the real number.

“I said: ‘We didn’t win $10,000… times that by 10 –it’s $100,000!’”

The happy winner said she has a couple of ideas for her windfall.

“I plan to upgrade my car and hopefully buy a camper,” she said. “The rest will go to savings – it’s nice to have a ‘rainy day’ fund!”

The ticket was purchased at the Shell on 16th Street West.
