Police investigate midtown stabbing incident

Prince Albert police say a female found at a business in the city’s midtown neighbourhood, was suffering from serious injuries consistent with a stabbing.

Early Wednesday afternoon, at approximately 12:30 p.m, officers were called to the 1300 block of sixth Ave. E.

Further investigation led officers to a residence in the 500 block of 12th Street East where it is believed the assault occurred.

The victim, whose age is not known, was treated by Parkland Ambulance and transported to a hospital for further treatment

At this time there have been no arrests but it is believed the suspect and victim are known to each other.

Police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with video surveillance from the area surrounding the 500 block of 12th Street East that may be relevant to the investigation to report it to police. Anonymous information can be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
