Apr 8, 2025 | 4:24 PM

Members of the La Ronge Regional Fire Department responded to a fuel spill on Tuesday.

Fiirefighters were called out to the Air Ronge Co-op at approximately 10:30 a.m. and they were on the scene for approximately an hour and a half.

The spill consisted of approximately 100 liters of diesel.

“The fire department, along with a third-party company, used hydrocarbon absorbent pads to extract the diesel fuel,” Deputy-Fire Chief Jay Wood stated in an email.

“These calls are not received often, however, they can be very dangerous. We would like to thank the public for giving us room to work this morning; it was greatly appreciated.”
