Beauval RCMP charge three with cocaine possession

RCMP have seized about two ounces of cocaine near Beauval.

Mounties said that on May 21 at around 4 a.m., police received reports of a suspicious vehicle on Highway 918 near Beauval. Shortly after, an officer located a vehicle matching its description and turned their emergency lights to perform a traffic stop.

Upon walking to the window, the officer observed signs that the driver was intoxicated and open alcohol in the vehicle. Following further investigation, police located and seized approximately 63 grams of cocaine, a sum of cash and trafficking paraphernalia.

As a result, 32-year-old Robin Ray from Sandy Bay, 26-year-old Keaton Cook from Southend, and 25-year-old Jarvis Berger from Estevan are each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Ray is also charged with operation of a conveyance while impaired, while Berger is additionally charged with failing to comply with a probation order. He was also arrested on outstanding warrants from the Estevan Police Service.

All three are scheduled to appear in court in Beauval on June 18, as police continue to investigate.
